NWAA is a not-for-profit organization run by an all-volunteer board, utilizing an all-volunteer workforce. We depend on volunteers to run all aspects of our sports programs, from coaching to concessions. As such it is imperative that all registrations include a donation agreement to ensure the organization maintains a safe and healthy environment for the true customers of our programs, the players. The requirement for this agreement can be settled with the fulfillment of one of two available options, a. completing a work assignment(s); or b. making a financial donation, commonly referred to as a buyout.

NWAA Registration Donation Agreement

Buyout Option

  • If a volunteer is either unable or unwilling to fulfill the requirements of a work assignment, they may elect to make a financial donation for the total amount of $150, and is payable in advance either by personal check or money orders at the office, or credit card online during registration. Payment will be made to NWAA during the registration process (your check will be cashed/credit card swiped), and the volunteer will be exempt of any and all work duty assignments for the duration of the season.

Work Assignment Option

  • If a volunteer is able to fulfill the requirements of a work assignment, they may elect this option. The deposit for Work duty assignment is $150, and is payable either by personal check or money orders at the office, or credit card online during registration. Payment to NWAA will be made during registration, although your check will not be cashed, or credit card charged until you miss your scheduled work assignment.
  • Work duty times are scheduled in accordance with season openings and games, and can be weekend or weeknight, depending on the season. NWAA reserves the right to change the dates or start times based upon extenuating circumstances including, but not exclusive, to inclement weather or game reschedules. All effort will be given to notify any workers who might be affected by these changes.
  • There are two types of work assignments, field duty or concession duty. Both are described below:
    • Field Duty: The volunteer will be expected to perform maintenance on the park by completing tasks, such as dumping trash cans, helping with field grating or grass cutting, setting up the fields for an upcoming season, and anything else the field manager requires. Field duty volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, and physically able to perform basic labor functions, such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
    • Concession Duty: The volunteer will be expected to perform food service duties, cleaning the kitchen, running a concession stand register, and anything else the concession stand manager requires. Concession stand volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
  • When choosing an assignment and scheduling, please make every effort to ensure it fits well into your calendar at the time of scheduling. Our work assignment rescheduling policy is as follows:
    • Field Duty: There is NO rescheduling field duty. If you cannot make your appointed field duty time, your work assignment deposit will be forfeited immediately (your check will be cashed/credit card swiped that day).
    • Concession Duty: You are allowed one (1) reschedule of concession duty, in the event your chosen date falls in line with your child's game. If you chose to reschedule, you must do so and confirm with the concession stand manager before the start of your original date. If you fail to do so, your work assignment deposit will be forfeited immediately (your check will be cashed/credit card swiped that day). regardless of whether you attempted to reschedule for later.
  • It is the volunteer's responsibility to ensure that their scheduled work requirements are satisfied. Any rescheduling or substitution of personnel to fulfill any scheduled assignment is the full and sole responsibility of the volunteer; and must be communicated and confirmed in advance with the NWAA concession stand manager, using the following contact information:
    • Jen @ 314-825-3670 Text or leave message
    • Jquigley@nwaasports.org
Note: No reschedule or substitution will be considered until confirmed by the concession stand manager.
  • If at any point in the season your child decides not to play, regardless of reason, and you do not fulfill your scheduled assignments, you must notify NWAA in writing that you have withdrawn from the program. You must mail it to P. O. Box 615, House Springs, MO 63051 or send an e-mail to info@nwaasports.org. If you fail to notify NWAA in writing, you will be subject to this assignment agreement, and all financial obligations contained within.
  • While fulfilling work assignments, the volunteer is expected to adhere to the following guidelines:
    • Consumption of any alcoholic beverage while on duty is prohibited. Any volunteer seen consuming alcohol while on duty will be immediately asked to leave, will immediately forfeit their work assignment deposit, and a police report will be filed with JCSD.
    • No one other than scheduled volunteers and NWAA Board members on duty are allowed within the confines of the concession stand. This includes children of scheduled volunteers.
  • All volunteers will be expected to perform any duties required by the manager in charge, and may include more dirty tasks, such as trash duty, bathroom cleaning, etc.
